Application: | In 1991, HÖRMANN was commissioned by the Civil Defence Force to install a public warning system throughout Singapore. The scope covered the overall project management and realisation, from the planning through to a 5-year maintenance contract. Since 1993, the Singapore public warning system has been in continuous operation. In 1997, HÖRMANN was awarded a follow-up contract to expand the warning system, incl. the supply of additional electronic sirens, technical extensions and software adaption. In November 2001, HÖRMANN was commissioned to develop and supply a new control centre technology, incl. hardware changes, for the public warning system in place |

Application: | In 1998, HÖRMANN GmbH was commissioned by the Swedish „National Rescue Services Agency“ (SRV) (today: MSB) to upgrade the complete public warning siren control and monitoring system. In 2005, the third project phase was completed. The new siren system is radio-based and PC-controlled and allows for the control, visualisation and montoring of all sirens. The nationwide siren system consists of 169 control centres that monitor and control approx. 4,300 sirens. HÖRMANN developed, supplied and installed the control centres, incl. CCCs software, the communications units and the remote terminal units (RTUs) for siren control |
