In 1998, HÖRMANN GmbH was commissioned by the Swedish „National Rescue Services Agency“ (SRV) (today: MSB) to upgrade the complete public warning siren control and monitoring system. In 2005, the third project phase was completed. The new siren system is radio-based and PC-controlled and allows for the control, visualisation and montoring of all sirens. The nationwide siren system consists of 169 control centres that monitor and control approx. 4,300 sirens. HÖRMANN developed, supplied and installed the control centres, incl.
